Wave Swinger

Overview

A modern update of the Classic Chair o Planes.  The centre of the ride lifts passengers clear of the loading deck. Once at full height, the centre then oscillates creating a Wave effect, hence the name Wave Swinger.

The Wave Swinger may be decorated in traditional style, but it is designed and constructed to  modern safety standards. Powered by complex hydraulic and inverter drives that are controlled by a modern ride control system.

The Wave Swinger has been thrilling riders since delivery at the end of 2011. Proving very popular at the famous Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, Cardiff Bay Beach and Festivals.

History

The first Wave Swinger was designed my Zierer and built by Schwarzkopf  of Germany in 1972.  They then developed a travelling version which have been gracing the German Fairs (Kirmes) every since. The UK had to wait until the turn of the century before more transportable versions were designed that were suitable for UK Fun Fairs.
